ARC DART PhD Scholarship

The DART Centre, a collaborative initiative involving three leading Australian universities and seven government and industrial partners, is offering six fully-funded PhD scholarships in radiochemistry at its Monash University node. DART’s mission is to advance molecular approaches to harness radioactivity and expand opportunities in the rapidly growing global radiopharmaceutical market. Successful candidates will join a dynamic research environment, engaging in projects that focus on the development and manufacture of high-value biologically active radiochemical agents and radiopharmaceuticals.

PhD candidates will benefit from hands-on radiochemical training and up to 12 months of immersion with government and industry partners, gaining practical experience and exposure to real-world applications. The scholarships provide a generous annual stipend of $41,555 (ARC 2026 rate), along with additional financial support for laboratory work, conferences, and domestic or international travel. DART welcomes applicants from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, particularly those with expertise in chemistry, medicine, or pharmacology.

Applicants must meet Monash University’s minimum qualification criteria and any faculty-specific requirements. The application process is distinct from standard Monash procedures, requiring a strict Expression of Interest (EoI) submission. Candidates should prepare a comprehensive EoI including personal details, eligibility statement, highest qualification and transcript, CV, a written description of their motivation and topic preferences, and a list of accepted or published publications.
