The Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine (inStem) in Bangalore, India, announces its 2026 Summer Research Fellowships (SuRF), a 10-week immersive research internship for undergraduate and graduate students. The program is designed to provide hands-on research experience in cutting-edge areas such as stem cell biology, tissue regeneration, chemical biology, cellular metabolism, and molecular biology. Students will work closely with inStem faculty on individualized projects, enhancing their experimental skills and preparing them for future research careers, including PhD studies in life sciences.

Eligibility is restricted to students currently enrolled in specific degree programs: B.Sc., B.Tech., or B.Pharm. (4-year courses, entering their final year), M.Sc. or M.Tech. (entering 2nd year), 5-year Integrated B.Sc.-M.Sc. or B.Tech.-M.Tech. (entering 5th year), and MBBS (entering 3rd or 4th year). Applicants must not have completed their degree before the internship begins. Selection is based on academic performance, research interests, fit with inStem's research areas, references, and availability. While the program primarily targets students from life sciences, those from chemistry, physics, and mathematics are also encouraged to apply.

The fellowship offers a competitive stipend of Rs. 10,000 per month for the duration of the program.
