About this position

The University of Warwick is offering the Warwick Undergraduate Global Excellence Scholarship 2026, designed to support gifted and ambitious international students who wish to pursue their academic interests at one of the UK's most prestigious universities. This scholarship aims to remove financial barriers for talented students from around the world, enabling them to join Warwick's vibrant academic community and contribute to knowledge creation and innovation.

The scholarship is open to self-funded international students who are classified as 'overseas' for tuition fee purposes. Applicants must apply for a full-time undergraduate course (excluding MBChB) at the University of Warwick, with entry in Autumn 2026. The application for the undergraduate course must be submitted before the UCAS deadline of 14 January 2026. The scholarship application itself must be completed online by 12:00 pm GMT on 27 February 2026. By 13 May 2026, applicants must be in receipt of an offer to study at Warwick.

Scholarship awards for 2026 include 6 full-fee scholarships, 148 half-fee scholarships, 103 scholarships covering 25% of tuition fees, and 6 awards of £2000. These awards are available for the duration of the undergraduate course. The selection process is based on academic excellence, and applicants are required to answer questions about their academic and extracurricular achievements, motivations for choosing Warwick, and how they plan to contribute to the university community and apply their learning globally.

To be eligible, students must be self-funded, meaning they are financing their studies through personal savings, family, friends, or student loans, and not through employers or external scholarships. Current Warwick students are not eligible, except for IFP students progressing to undergraduate study. The scholarship is open to all subject areas offered at Warwick, making it an excellent opportunity for students interested in fields such as business, computer science, mathematics, biology, economics, chemistry, physics, political science, psychology, sociology, and more.

Applicants should first apply for their chosen undergraduate course, set up an IT account, and then complete the scholarship application form online. The application requires responses to questions about achievements and aspirations, with a word limit of 200 words per response. The selection panel will review applications in March/April and May 2026, and successful candidates will be notified by 27 May 2026.

For more information, visit the official scholarship page or contact [email protected]. This scholarship represents a significant opportunity for international students to access world-class education and join a global community at the University of Warwick.
