World Bank – Republic of Korea Global Knowledge Scholarship (WB–RoK GKS) for African MSc and PhD Students in Korea Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences in South Korea

The Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) announces the World Bank – Republic of Korea Global Knowledge Scholarship (WB–RoK GKS) for the 2026 intake, targeting African postgraduate students and young academics. This fully funded scholarship, offered through a partnership between the World Bank and the Government of Korea, supports talented African scholars to pursue MSc and PhD degrees at selected Korean universities. The program aims to foster research, innovation, and leadership for development in home countries.

Eligible applicants must be citizens of an African country, affiliated with a World Bank–supported institution, and demonstrate strong academic background and leadership potential. The scholarship covers full tuition, monthly living allowance, return airfare, settlement and research allowances, and comprehensive health insurance. Applicants must meet the academic and admission requirements of the selected Korean university and program, and apply under the International Organization Track.

The application process involves reviewing eligible Korean universities and programs, applying directly to the selected university, and submitting applications via hard copy through the Korean Embassy or by mail. A letter confirming the university’s affiliation with a World Bank–supported project is required. Interested applicants are encouraged to prepare early and carefully review the official guidelines. The deadline for application is the end of February 2026.
