The Chair of Intelligent Language Systems at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) is inviting applications for fully funded PhD and postdoctoral positions in the fields of Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning (ML), and computational linguistics. The research focus includes reasoning, interpretability, neuro-symbolic methods, memory, and multilinguality, with the overarching goal of advancing large language and vision-language models (LLM/VLMs) for underrepresented languages, tasks, and domains.
