The University of Luxembourg is seeking a postdoctoral researcher for the AI Factory (L-AIF) initiative, a national flagship project aimed at fostering a robust and inclusive AI ecosystem in Luxembourg. The position is hosted within the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM), which is renowned for its multidisciplinary expertise and commitment to both teaching and research. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and evaluating AI training programmes and micro-credential courses, with a strong emphasis on sector-specific contexts such as finance, space, cybersecurity, and the green economy. Responsibilities include conducting research on AI education and skills development, collaborating with academic and industry partners to ensure training content aligns with real-world applications, and supporting the creation of pedagogical materials for MOOCs, workshops, and blended learning formats. The postdoc will also participate in hackathons, workshops, and public engagement events to facilitate knowledge transfer and foster community interaction. Additional duties involve analyzing trends in AI education, contributing to scientific publications and reports, and assisting in supervising students and coordinating collaborative research and training activities. Applicants should possess a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Educational Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, with a solid research background in AI domains and experience in developing educational content. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders are essential, as is proficiency in English; knowledge of French or German is a plus. The position offers a fixed-term contract of 12 months, full-time, with a yearly gross salary of EUR 83,099.
