The Polyphenol Research Group at Columbia University in the City of New York, led by Professor Rosa M Lamuela-Raventos, is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join their team. This position is funded through the prestigious Beatriu de Pinós (BP 2025) Postdoctoral Programme, which supports talented researchers aiming to advance their academic careers in an internationally recognized environment.

The group conducts cutting-edge research on polyphenols and their biological activity, the role of olive oil and the Mediterranean diet in chronic disease prevention, biomarkers of dietary intake and oxidative stress, and the mechanisms linking diet and health. The research environment is supportive and multidisciplinary, offering collaboration with international partners and access to state-of-the-art analytical platforms. Fellows will have opportunities for publishing and leadership development.

Applicants should have a strong background in nutrition, biomedicine, analytical chemistry, epidemiology, or related fields. The eligibility criteria require candidates to have obtained their doctoral degree between January 1, 2018, and December 31, 2023 (extendable to 2016 for justified cases such as maternity, illness, or disability). A minimum of two years of postdoctoral experience outside Spain is required, and candidates must not have resided or worked in Spain for more than 12 months in the last three years. Reserved places are available for candidates with a disability of 33% or more. Previous recipients of the Beatriu de Pinós fellowship are not eligible.

The fellowship is fully funded, with a total of €149,396 allocated for each three-year contract (covering salary and social security), plus an additional €12,000 for training, travel, conferences, short stays, publications, intellectual property, and computing equipment. There are no application fees, and an indemnity is provided upon contract completion.
