Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher position at Aarhus University, Denmark, in the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics (MBG) / Nielsen Lab. The project sits at the interface of quantitative proteomics, post-translational modifications (PTMs), mass spectrometry, and mechanistic cell biology, with a strong focus on how PTM networks—especially ADP-ribosylation and related signalling mechanisms—define regulatory proteome states and control cellular function.

The successful candidate will help develop advanced MS-based proteomics workflows, quantitative PTM analysis strategies, and experimental approaches to study protein regulation, genome maintenance, and cellular stress responses. The role also includes independent project design, collaboration with national and international partners, and contributions to high-impact publications and research grant development.

Eligibility highlights: applicants should hold a PhD in proteomics, molecular biology, biochemistry, or a related field. Strong experience or interest in mass spectrometry-based proteomics, PTM enrichment, quantitative workflows, cell biology, and ADP-ribosylation/PARP biology is especially relevant. Experience with high-resolution LC-MS systems and large-scale proteomics is an advantage.

Funding and appointment: this is a fixed-term, full-time postdoctoral appointment for two years, with the possibility of extension. Salary depends on seniority under the Danish collective agreement. The post provides access to state-of-the-art mass spectrometry infrastructure and a highly collaborative interdisciplinary environment.
