About this position

The University of South Carolina's Department of Integrated Information Technology (IIT), within the Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing, is seeking applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Information Technology. Building an externally funded research program is a key expectation, with opportunities for collaboration across the Artificial Intelligence Institute, the McNAIR Center, and the Cyberinfrastructure Research Lab. The IIT Department offers an ABET-accredited BS in Integrated Information Technology, a Master of Science in Information Technology, a Master of Health Information Technology (MHIT), and a PhD in Informatics.

Applicants must hold a doctorate in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field by the start date. Candidates should demonstrate potential for excellence in teaching and research with high scholarly impact. The position is full-time (37.5 hours/week) on a 9-month basis, with salary commensurate with qualifications and a comprehensive benefits package including health and life insurance, paid leave, and retirement programs.
