Functional analyses span diverse biological systems, including microRNAs, ribosomal RNA elements, and viral RNA motifs.

The postdoctoral position is part of the Excellence Centre for the Chemical Mechanisms of Life, a multidisciplinary initiative funded by the Swedish Research Council. The postdoc will work within the Petzold group and collaborate with other research leaders, focusing on RNA biophysics and structure under biologically relevant conditions. The role involves high-level research, method development, and active participation in the center's collaborative projects, including seminars and interdisciplinary activities.

Applicants for the PhD position should hold a master's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics, structural biology, or a related field, with a strong focus on RNA. Laboratory experience with biomolecules or RNA molecular biology is required, along with excellent English skills, independence, creativity, and teamwork. Programming, advanced data analysis, and experience with NGS, structural biology, or biophysical methods are advantageous. The postdoc position requires a PhD in natural or technical sciences, with expertise in RNA biophysics, biochemistry, and/or NMR. Additional merits include RNA sample preparation, cell handling, data/statistics/programming, pathway analysis, and scientific writing. IELTS/TOEFL results are desirable but not mandatory.
