Applicants must hold a doctoral degree (PhD) or an equivalent foreign degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field, with a strong research record in wireless communications, networking, or optimization. The degree must be obtained no later than the employment decision. Preferred qualifications include a PhD obtained within the last three years, experience in mentoring MSc or PhD students, strong communication and writing skills in English, and demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary and international environments. Experience with machine learning, simulation frameworks, or system-level performance evaluation is highly valued. Applicants should have expertise in at least one of the following: interference management, load balancing, beamforming, MIMO algorithms, joint optimization of communication and computing resources, integrated satellite–terrestrial networking, or AI/ML-based network control and performance evaluation. Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with a focus on gender equality, is also expected.
