About this position

The Benoit Lab at the Knight Campus, University of Oregon, is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar to join their innovative research team in the Department of Bioengineering. The lab focuses on developing next-generation tissue-engineered periosteum (TEP) to enhance the healing of challenging bone defects, integrating expertise in polymer chemistry, hydrogel design, stem cell biology, and in vivo models. This project is part of a broader mission to design advanced biomaterials using bottom-up approaches, with applications in regenerative medicine and therapeutic discovery. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. in chemistry, biology, engineering, or a related field, with demonstrated research productivity and laboratory experience in bioengineering or related disciplines. Preferred qualifications include experience with grant writing, small animal surgery, musculoskeletal regeneration, histology, biomechanics, flow cytometry, and live animal imaging.
