English language proficiency equivalent to Swedish upper secondary course English 6 is required (IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 90, PTE 62, or equivalent). The selection process will also consider your experience in manufacturing systems modeling, simulation (DES), digital twins, machine learning, reinforcement learning, AI-based optimization, multi-objective optimization, predictive modeling, programming (Python, C++, or similar), industrial collaboration, and your ability to work independently and plan research.
This is a fully funded position for up to five years, with employment at 100% (80% doctoral studies and 20% departmental service). Salary is paid according to a local agreement for postgraduate students. The application deadline is January 25, 2026.
