About this position
Postdoc opportunity at Copenhagen Business School in the project (Un)sustainable Tipping Points, led by Kristian Roed Nielsen (PI) and Alice Pizzo (co-PI) in the Consumer & Behavioural Insights Group, Department of Management, Society and Communication.
The position sits at the intersection of behavioural science and computational social science, with a strong focus on social contagion, sustainable behaviour, network analysis, diffusion, and threshold dynamics. The project uses large-scale longitudinal behavioural data, behavioural experiments, and computational modelling to study when positive feedback loops create or block tipping points in sustainability transitions.
The postdoc will contribute to empirical, computational, and experimental work, including modelling social contagion processes, analysing large behavioural datasets, conducting network analyses, and designing/running behavioural experiments. The role is intended for a researcher with strong quantitative and coding skills and an interest in integrating theory, data, and modelling into a coherent research agenda.
Eligibility highlights: a PhD in a relevant field, strong quantitative skills, experience with behavioural or longitudinal data, and coding proficiency in R, Python, Stata, or similar tools. Professional English is required; Danish, project management, experimental design, and primary data collection experience are welcome.
Funding and duration: the postdoc is funded by the Independent Research Fund Denmark and runs for three years, with a possible additional year tied to teaching responsibilities.
Application deadline: 4 May 2026. The position is based in Copenhagen, and the expected start is September 2026 with some flexibility.
Apply via the CBS recruitment system and include the requested documents: cover letter, publication list, up to five selected publications, supporting documentation, transcripts, diplomas, and CV.
