About this position

Postdoctoral position in Economics / Health Economics / Health Policy based in Stockholm, Sweden, with the option to work remotely from elsewhere in the EU, the UK, or Switzerland. The project is a collaboration with the Public Health Agency of Sweden and is led by Petra Persson and Maya Rossin-Slater (Stanford University). The postdoc will be hired by the Research Institute of Industrial Economics (IFN) and will work with unique Swedish administrative registry data on high-quality research in a supportive team environment.

The role is a 2-year full-time postdoctoral appointment starting no later than September 1, 2026 (or by mutual agreement). There are no teaching duties. The work involves initiating and running projects, collaborating with the research team, and contributing to independent research using modern econometric methods and large datasets.

Eligibility highlights: applicants should have a PhD in Economics, Health Economics, or an equivalent field by September 2026. Recent PhD graduates are especially encouraged. Strong research ability and fluency in English are required; Swedish language skills are helpful but not mandatory.
