About this position

EPFL (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne) is advertising 2 PhD positions in Earthquake Engineering / Structural Engineering within ENAC/EESD in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Eligibility highlights: MSc degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering; strong interest or experience in experimental and/or numerical methods; interest in traditional construction techniques and interdisciplinary work; strong English communication skills; familiarity with Python, MATLAB, and numerical tools such as OpenSees, Abaqus, or DIANA is an advantage.

Funding and contract: full-time 100% PhD student role with competitive salary and excellent working conditions. The contract is initially 1 year and renewable up to 4 years total. The selected candidates will also need to qualify for EPFL’s Doctoral School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (EDCE).

What's required
