About this position

Three fully funded PhD positions are available in the Dependability and Automation Research in Cyber-Physical Systems (DARES) Group in Finland.

The positions focus on dependable automation, artificial intelligence, and cyber-physical systems, with research themes spanning federated learning, trustworthy and explainable AI, distributed intelligence, resilient control, optimization, cybersecurity, and secure automation.

Position 1 covers federated learning and trustworthy AI for privacy-preserving collaborative machine learning, condition monitoring, and industrial/energy systems.

Position 2 focuses on resilient control and optimization for adaptive and resilient operation of industrial processes, automation systems, and energy infrastructures.

Position 3 addresses cybersecurity and resilience of cyber-physical systems, including cyberattack detection and mitigation, resilient architectures, and dependable operation of safety-critical industrial control systems.
