3-year Postdoctoral Position in Oncology (Prostate Cancer Therapeutics) in France Institut Necker Enfants Malades in France

The Institut Necker Enfants Malades (INEM) in Paris, France, is offering a fully funded 3-year postdoctoral position in oncology, focusing on innovative therapeutic strategies for prostate cancer. The position is based in the lab of Vincent Goffin, PhD, which is internationally recognized for its research in onco-endocrinology and hormone-dependent tumors. The successful candidate will join a collaborative and multidisciplinary team working on projects related to castration-resistant prostate cancer, stem/progenitor cells, and therapeutic targeting.

The research will involve developing and utilizing preclinical models, including transgenic mice, patient-derived organoids (PDOs), and human cell lines, to validate prognostic and predictive biomarkers. The project is highly collaborative, involving biologists, urologists, oncologists, pathologists, and bioinformaticians. The candidate will be expected to contribute to both experimental and analytical aspects of the research, with opportunities to publish in high-impact journals.

Applicants should have a PhD in biology, pharmacy, or MD, with 0-2 years of postdoctoral experience. Required skills include cancer biology, bioinformatics, and proficiency in techniques such as histology, immunohistochemistry/fluorescence, cell sorting, primary cell culture, qPCR, immunoblots, PDOs, and spatial biology. A strong command of English and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are essential. Experience with transgenic mice and organoid models is advantageous.

The position is fully funded by a pharmaceutical partner, with an initial one-year contract renewable up to three years.
