About this position

Vanderbilt University’s Vanderbilt Kennedy Center (VKC) TRIAD and the Division of Developmental Medicine in Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Department of Pediatrics are accepting applications for a clinical psychology postdoctoral fellowship focused on autism and developmental disabilities.

This is a one-year paid postdoctoral position with fringe benefits, and the salary is commensurate with NRSA postdoctoral beginning stipend levels. The fellowship is housed within TRIAD, a hub for interdisciplinary work in autism research, service, outreach, and training.

Fellows will gain experience with diagnostic evaluations of children with possible autism through research projects and a hospital-based developmental clinic, telemedicine-based assessment and diagnosis, school-based consultation and support, and the development and delivery of online and live training modules for caregivers, service providers, and school personnel. Training also includes monthly didactic opportunities in neuroaffirming and family-centered care, complex case formulation, and professional development.

Eligibility highlights include prior clinical training and experience with children with autism and related developmental differences, completion of an APA-accredited PhD/PsyD clinical or school psychology doctoral program and internship, and completion of dissertation defense and all graduation requirements before the start date.

The position is expected to begin in late August 2027. Applications should include a CV, a letter describing clinical interests and experience, and recommendation letters from at least two references. Materials should be emailed to [email protected] and [email protected]. Priority consideration is given to applications submitted by December 1.
