I am looking for a PhD student interested in starting in January 2026 at UCL Chemical Engineering .
Ideally, candidates should be interested in computational applied physical chemistry. More in detail, the project will revolve around developing enhanced sampling / free energy methods for computational kinetics in complex environments (in liquids, at surfaces, ...), leveraging ideas that combine statistical mechanics and machine learning.
While the official ad will be out soon, I can anticipate that the project will be supported by a EU grant and will be part of a broader collaboration.
If you know anyone who could be potentially interested, please encourage them to get in touch with me, and I will be able to advise on the application process - contacts and details are available here: https://lnkd.in/eSGHH-Vz
