The research focus includes the development of systems for the strategy process in corporations and other organizations, as well as systems for data analysis and simulations. The chair emphasizes success-critical solutions for business practice, collaboration with international scholars and corporate partners, and publication-oriented doctoral research.
This is a PhD opening (doctoral research associate). The project is integrated into the chair’s research agenda and leads to co-authored publications. Doctoral candidates follow a structured project plan with milestones each semester and can access doctoral training through the TUM Graduate Center and postgraduate courses.
Eligibility highlights: completed studies in business and management (e.g. business administration or business informatics) or another relevant subject such as informatics, engineering, or philosophy; outstanding degree or near completion; experience with development projects, internships, or professional experience; strong knowledge in strategic management, finance, and accounting or related areas; programming skills are an advantage; excellent analytical and language skills; team spirit; excellent German and English.
Funding: applicants may pursue an internal doctorate employed by TUM with salary at the TV-L E13 level, or an external doctorate if TUM guidelines are met. The doctoral track is designed to allow completion within 3 years.
