About this position

Linköping University in Sweden is offering eight fully funded postdoctoral positions in Medicine and Health Sciences. These positions are part of a major investment supported by The Catharina Högbom and Michael Cocozza Research Foundation, aimed at developing the next generation of researchers at one of Sweden’s leading medical faculties.

The postdoctoral projects span a wide range of research areas, including heart failure, epidemiology, systems biology, cancer genomics, tumor immunology and immunotherapy, neuroscience, ion-channel physiology, and ion-channel engineering. This breadth makes the opportunity especially attractive for researchers seeking to build a strong profile in biomedical and clinical research while joining an internationally oriented research environment.

Each position is fully funded and includes three years of salary, with an approximate monthly salary of SEK 43,000 including health care. The scheme also includes funding for up to one year of international mobility, and successful candidates may apply for an additional research grant during the third year to help establish an independent research environment.

Eligibility is for applicants with a PhD or equivalent in medical sciences, excellent English proficiency, and a doctorate awarded by a university other than Linköping University. Applicants must also have completed their PhD no more than three years before the application deadline.

Linköping University highlights Sweden’s strong research infrastructure, international research groups, academic freedom, and high quality of life, making this a compelling opportunity for early-career researchers aiming to advance in medical and health sciences. The application deadline is 30 November 2026.
