Entry-level PhD Researcher Position in Biology, Laboratory Analysis, and Sustainable Chemistry (InnovBlueValue Project) Polytechnic Institute of Bragança in Portugal

The Polytechnic Institute of Bragança is offering an entry-level PhD researcher position to contribute to scientific research in Biology, Laboratory Analysis, and Sustainable Chemistry, specifically within the InnovBlueValue project focused on sustainable valorization strategies for the blueberry value chain. The position is based at the Mountain Research Centre and is part of the MPr-2023-8, SIID – Business R&D – Co-promotion Operations (NORTE2030-FEDER-01408300). The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team and engage in research activities that span biological sciences, laboratory analysis, and sustainable chemistry, with a strong emphasis on applied research, technology transfer, and science communication. The position offers a fixed-term public service employment contract for three years, with automatic renewal as per Portuguese law, and a gross monthly salary of €2,351.53. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in a relevant field and demonstrate a scientific and professional curriculum suitable for the research activities. Recognition of foreign doctoral degrees is required, and non-native Portuguese speakers must have C1-level proficiency in Portuguese.
