A fully funded PhD position is available at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in the College of Computing and Informatics.

The project is centered on online learning and decision-making, with a strong emphasis on Generative AI, reliable AI evaluation, calibration, sequential decision-making, machine learning, and machine learning for business. Example directions include developing methods for sequential decision-making in GenAI, evaluating and calibrating reliable AI systems, and applying ML to real-world business problems such as dynamic pricing.

Applicants with strong preparation in mathematics, coding, artificial intelligence, data science, or related areas are encouraged to apply. Strong programming, research, and problem-solving skills are especially valued. Prior publications are welcome but not required; applicants who have worked seriously on a research problem or substantial project and can explain their motivation, methods, challenges, and contributions are preferred.
