Fully funded PhD opportunity in Plant and Microbial Sciences at the John Innes Centre in the UK. This is the John Innes Foundation Rotation PhD Programme, a four-year doctoral programme that lets students complete three 10-week rotation projects before choosing a main supervisor and PhD topic.

The programme is hosted across the John Innes Centre, The Sainsbury Laboratory, and the Earlham Institute, with registration at the University of East Anglia. It offers broad training across plant science, microbiology, genetics, genomics, computational biology, crop science, biological chemistry, systems biology, cell biology, molecular biology, and plant health.

Funding includes a competitive 4-year stipend, full tuition fees, and research/training support. The programme is open to UK and international applicants. Applicants should have, or expect to obtain, at least a good undergraduate honours degree (minimum Upper Second Class or equivalent) in a scientific subject relevant to the programme and must satisfy the PhD registration requirements of the University of East Anglia.
