Fully Funded PhD Positions in Landscape Living Lab: Catchment Monitoring, Modelling, and Management Trinity College Dublin in Ireland

Four fully funded PhD positions are available through the Trinity Research Doctoral Awards for the interdisciplinary project Landscape Living Lab: Catchment Monitoring, Modelling, and Management. The research is hosted by the AIB Trinity Climate Hub and focuses on major challenges in climate, biodiversity, and water management in Ireland.

The project brings together expertise from natural sciences, engineering, business, and the humanities to develop innovative approaches to integrated catchment management, with a particular emphasis on nature-based solutions for addressing flooding. This makes the opportunity especially relevant for candidates interested in environmental systems, landscape resilience, modelling, policy-relevant research, and interdisciplinary problem-solving.

Supervision is shared across four academics: Dr. Catherine Farrell (Trinity Business School), Dr. Mary Bourke (School of Natural Sciences), Dr. John Gallagher (School of Engineering), and Dr. Francis Ludlow (Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences). The positions are based at Trinity College Dublin.
