Applicants must have, or be about to obtain, a first or upper second-class UK honours degree (or equivalent) in medical sciences, computing, mathematics, or the physical sciences. A lower second-class degree may be considered only if accompanied by a master's degree (Merit at the University of Bath). Applicants should also meet the English language requirements of the host university by the start date. Relevant non-academic experience may be considered alongside academic qualifications.
