Offer Description

The position is focused on investigating the involvement in sepsis of extracellular vesicles isolated from patients and, using proteomics, characterizing the biological processes and cellular functions related to differentially abundant proteins (DAPs). The postdoc will be based at the Sepsis Research Lab (LPS) of the Federal University of São Paulo's Medical School (EPM-UNIFESP) in Brazil

Interested candidates must have a background in biomedicine, biology, or related disciplines and a PhD degree. High skills in flow cytometry, liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectroscopy (LC-MS/MS), nanoparticle tracking, and the isolation, purification, and characterization of extracellular vesicles is essential, as well as solid knowledge of cell biology and microbiology. Advanced knowledge of English (communication, reading, and writing) and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team are desirable.

In addition to the above requirements, scientific production will be evaluated based on scientific publications and other forms of contribution.

The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral fellowship in the amount of R$ 12,570.00 monthly and a research contingency fund, equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the fellowship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
