The Institute of Science and Technology Austria (ISTA) is inviting applications for the ISTA-Fellow Postdoctoral Program, a competitive, fully funded postdoctoral opportunity designed for highly qualified researchers who want to pursue ambitious, independent research in an international, English-speaking environment.

Applicants must have completed or be close to completing a PhD or equivalent in chemistry, data science, computer science, earth sciences, life sciences, mathematics, physics, or related disciplines. At the application deadline, candidates must hold a PhD (or equivalent) or expect to complete the degree before the fellowship start date, no later than 2027-06-15. All ISTA research groups except Astrophysics groups are eligible, and researchers already employed at ISTA before 2026-09-01 are not eligible. A copy of the diploma or proof of successful defense is required before a fellowship contract can be issued.
