Johannes Kepler University Linz (JKU), Department of Economics, is announcing applications for two Master’s programmes starting in the Winter Semester 2026/27: MSc in Economic and Business Analytics and MSc in Economics (Economic Policy Analysis).

The MSc in Economic and Business Analytics is a quantitatively oriented programme combining economics, data science, applied econometrics, programming in Python, digital transformation, data mining, operations research, and analytical methods. Students can specialize in areas such as financial markets, health, the digital economy, and supply chain management. The programme is designed for future economists and data-oriented graduates aiming for careers in analytics, consulting, research, and evidence-based decision-making.

The MSc in Economics (Economic Policy Analysis) focuses on policy-related economics, including competition and consumer protection, education, migration and labor markets, international/monetary/macroeconomics, and public/health/environmental economics. It emphasizes advanced economic theory, empirical research methods, and policy analysis, preparing students for careers in public institutions, consulting, research, and policy work.

Eligibility highlights include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in economics/business-related fields, English level B2, and for some applicants to Economic and Business Analytics a GMAT score of 600+ (for certain non-EU/EEA applicants). The post also notes equivalency requirements in business administration, economics, and mathematics/statistics, and possible supplementary examinations for some applicants.
