I have two fully-funded Ph.D. positions in the Mechanical Engineering Department at the University of Utah available starting Spring 2026. For more information about the lab and my research, please feel free to send me a message here.
Students will work on exciting projects related to exploring how structural materials (metals and alloys) behave under complex thermomechanical conditions using cutting-edge multiscale modeling techniques. These projects lie at the intersection of mechanics, materials science, and advanced computing (including high performance computing and machine learning) and have applications in the automotive, aerospace, energy, and manufacturing sectors. Students will also have opportunities to strongly collaborate with national laboratory and academic partners.
If you're interested in applying, please send your CV and a short description of your background/interests to [email protected] .
