Expression of Interest: MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026
Dora Bjedov (Assistant Professor, Faculty of Food Technology Osijek / University of Zagreb) is seeking a motivated postdoctoral researcher to jointly develop a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026 application with the Department of Biology, University of Osijek, Croatia, as host institution.
Research area: environmental and wildlife ecotoxicology, with emphasis on biochemical and physiological biomarkers of contaminant exposure, oxidative stress, detoxification and neurotoxicity-related responses, wildlife and avian biomonitoring, integration of biomarker/chemical/ecological data, harmonisation of ecotoxicological laboratory methods, and innovative approaches for assessing sublethal effects of environmental contaminants.
Ideal profile: strong hands-on laboratory experience in spectrophotometric or fluorometric biomarker assays, enzyme activity measurements, oxidative stress and antioxidant defence biomarkers, microplate-based laboratory methods, ecotoxicology, environmental toxicology or comparative physiology, sample preparation, and QA/QC. Experience with wildlife or avian studies is considered valuable.
Eligibility highlights: applicants must hold a doctoral degree by the MSCA deadline (or have defended and be awaiting formal award), normally have no more than eight years of full-time equivalent research experience after the PhD, and comply with the MSCA mobility rule for Croatia. A good publication record and strong English skills are expected.
