About this position
Daniel K. Hasegawa’s lab at the USDA Agricultural Research Service (USDA-ARS) in Salinas, California is recruiting an ORISE Postdoctoral Fellow in Vector Entomology.
This two-year research opportunity focuses on vector entomology, plant pathology, and integrated pest management in vegetable crops. The project examines insect vectors and plant viruses, with particular emphasis on interactions among western flower thrips, Impatiens necrotic spot virus (INSV), native plants, cover crops, and other beneficial vegetation. The goal is to develop sustainable strategies for reducing insect-transmitted plant diseases.
