The position is part of the joint mPADapp project on Digital Decision Support for Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD), in collaboration with Aarhus University and Viborg Regional Hospital. The project aims to improve adherence to clinical guidelines through an interactive decision-support tool integrated into a mobile app for patients and healthcare providers.

The postdoc will focus on behaviour change techniques, digital health, user experience/user-centered design, telerehabilitation, motivation, self-regulation, habit formation, and sustained adherence. The role includes co-design with clinicians, developers, AI scientists, and patient representatives; reviewing theory and evidence; identifying suitable BCTs for PAD patients; and collecting/analyzing qualitative and quantitative data on usability, acceptability, engagement, and intervention mechanisms.

Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent research experience at PhD level in psychology, behaviour science, public health, digital health, or a related field. Strong knowledge of behaviour change frameworks such as Self-Determination Theory, COM-B, Behaviour Change Wheel, and Health Action Process Approach is expected, along with experience in digital health intervention design/evaluation and strong teamwork skills. Excellent communication in Danish and English is required.
