WueNLP at the University of Würzburg is advertising three open research positions for PhD candidates and/or postdocs in natural language processing, large language models, and robotics.

The topics are: (1) post-training of open-source mixture-of-experts LLMs, (2) modular architectures for sample-efficient adaptation of language models for low-resource domains, and (3) vision-language-action models for robotic manipulation. These projects sit at the intersection of computer science, machine learning, robotics, and embodied AI.

Position formats vary: one role is a PhD position up to 4 years; one is a PhD or postdoc role initially for 15 months with likely extension; and one is a PhD or postdoc role for 12 months with a possible extension. The positions are open until filled and the start is as early as possible.
