The Smart Cyber-Physical Systems (SCPS) Lab at the University of Calgary is recruiting multiple PhD students and postdoctoral fellows for cutting-edge research in quantum-AI security, threat analytics, and adaptive cyber defense architectures. PhD opportunities include projects on hybrid quantum-classical methods for threat detection, anomaly correlation, and vulnerability mapping across cyber-physical and industrial systems, as well as the design of cognitive and explainable AI agents for cyber defense against zero-day and adversarial threats. The postdoctoral fellowship focuses on leading the development of adaptive quantum-AI defense architectures, including self-learning, zero-trust, and post-quantum-ready security frameworks capable of autonomous response and continuous resilience improvement.
