PhD and Postdoctoral Positions in Cancer Chemoresistance, DNA Repair, and Genomics University of Konstanz in Germany

We are hiring for 1 PhD student and 1 postdoctoral researcher in the Amelio Lab at the University of Konstanz, Germany. The project is funded by the German Cancer Aid (Deutsche Krebshilfe) and focuses on the mechanisms of chemoresistance in cancer.

The research investigates how cancer cells exploit DNA damage tolerance pathways to survive genotoxic stress and adapt under therapeutic pressure. Key topics include genome instability, mutagenic DNA synthesis, DNA repair, and therapy resistance. The lab combines functional genomics (including CRISPR/Cas9 screening), proteomics, and molecular biology approaches to identify novel regulatory pathways linking DNA repair to treatment resistance and tumor progression.
