PhD in Governance of Digital Innovations in Energy Transition (Built Environment) at University of Twente University of Twente in Netherlands

The University of Twente in the Netherlands is offering a fully funded PhD position as part of the 5-year Pre-MADONA project. This opportunity is aimed at recent MSc graduates interested in the governance of digital innovations within the energy transition of the built environment. The research will focus on governance structures for the digital transformation of mass-scale renovation processes, contributing to sustainable and efficient energy solutions in urban environments.

The successful candidate will join the Department of Civil Engineering and Management and become an employee of the University of Twente. The project is interdisciplinary, involving aspects of civil engineering, management, and environmental science, and will be supervised by a team of experts including Mark Vlutters, Mina Shahi, Peter Chemweno, Christopher Balfe, Anouk Bomers, Suzanne Hulscher, Floriana Anselmucci, and Tjerkje Dijkstra.

The position offers a gross monthly salary between €3,059 and €3,881, with full employment benefits according to Dutch university standards.
