The role is embedded in a multidisciplinary team including researchers, laboratory analysts, clinical chemists, hematologists, data scientists, and IT specialists.

Key research tasks include reviewing the current semi-automated workflow, developing deep learning and self-supervised AI methods, automating large-scale image processing, validating models, and translating the pipeline into a robust high-throughput analysis method. The project may also extend to other biomedical datasets in hemostasis and thrombosis.

Applicants should have a completed Master's degree in a relevant field such as biomedical engineering, biomedical sciences, medicine, systems biology, clinical health sciences, clinical data science, or bioinformatics. Strong programming and data analysis skills are expected, and experience with Python, R, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or medical image analysis is a plus. A strong interest in hemostasis, thrombosis, and laboratory medicine is important. Excellent English is required; Dutch is an advantage.

What's required
