PhD opportunity at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Calgary in Canada.

The project is supervised by Prof. Dr. Vinicius Camargo and Prof. Dr. Ed Pajor and focuses on precision livestock farming technologies to study the social behavior of beef bulls and its impacts on health, welfare, and reproductive efficiency. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop research related to the welfare of beef cattle.

Relevant academic areas include veterinary science, animal science, animal welfare, animal behavior, reproduction, and technology applications in livestock systems.

Eligibility highlights: a Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science, Animal Welfare, or a related field; interest in animal behavior, reproduction, and precision livestock farming; and experience with beef cattle or strong interest in the area.

Funding: CAD 35,000 per year for four years, with possible supplementation based on academic merit.
