Lab-STICC UMR 6285 CNRS at Brittany INP – ENIB (Brest, France) is recruiting a PhD candidate to work on self-supervised learning and vision foundation models for fish species recognition from underwater video images. The project is designed around large-scale unlabeled underwater data and aims to build robust, explainable, and efficient AI models for marine biodiversity monitoring.

The research is closely linked to underwater object detection and classification, with a strong emphasis on computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, and real-world deployment.
