A lower second-class degree may be considered if accompanied by a relevant master’s degree. English language requirements of the host university must be met by the start date.

What's required
Applicants must have obtained, or be about to obtain, a first or upper second-class UK honours degree or equivalent in medical sciences, computing, mathematics, or the physical sciences. A lower second-class degree is only considered if accompanied by a master’s degree (at the University of Bath this must be at least a Merit). Applicants should also meet the English language requirements of the host university by the start date, and relevant non-academic experience may strengthen the application.
