About this position
The Rehabilitation Modeling (ReModel) Laboratory at the University of Delaware is recruiting two PhD students to join a new research group led by Russell Johnson (incoming PI). The lab sits within the BIOMS (Biomechanics and Movement Science) PhD program, a cross-disciplinary environment connecting engineering, human movement science, and clinical practice.
Research interests include musculoskeletal modeling, biomechanics, gait rehabilitation, and the development/application of computational tools to understand human movement and improve rehabilitation outcomes. The post highlights work with platforms and methods such as OpenSim, CAD, MATLAB, Python, and optimization.
Eligibility: Applicants should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in kinesiology, engineering, physical therapy, or a related field. Prior experience with musculoskeletal modeling is strongly preferred.
