Amity Institute of Biotechnology, Amity University Noida, is inviting applications for a PhD opportunity in the July 2026 session under the Biorefinery and BioEnergy Research Laboratory (BBRL).

The research themes are strongly interdisciplinary and include microalgae-based biorefineries, wastewater valorization, CO₂ sequestration, biofuels, nutraceuticals, green chemicals, bioprocess scale-up, reactor engineering, and circular bioeconomy / sustainable biomanufacturing. The post emphasizes “waste-to-wealth” innovation and translational sustainability-focused research.

Funding is described as an attractive fellowship as per university norms. The poster also highlights Amity Research Fellowships of Rs. 37,000 per month or up to 100% scholarship for brilliant scholars, along with access to advanced lab-to-pilot scale facilities and strong mentorship for academic and research career development.

Eligibility: Applicants with an M.Sc. or M.Tech. in Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, Biochemical Engineering, Environmental Biotechnology, or related disciplines are encouraged to apply. Candidates completing a 4-year UG programme are also eligible as per university norms. Preference is given to candidates with strong interest in translational and sustainability-driven research.
