LIROMS (Luxembourg Institute of Research in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Science) is recruiting a PhD candidate for the Healthy Active Project in Luxembourg, in partnership with Marburg University.

This doctoral opportunity focuses on sports science, sports medicine, public health, injury prevention, recovery, training load management, mental health, and nutrition in sport. The PhD student will coordinate a national injury surveillance system, contribute to research, data collection and analysis, design educational and awareness campaigns, collaborate with national and international sport stakeholders, and publish/present findings at scientific conferences.

Eligibility: applicants should hold a Master's degree in sports physiotherapy, sports sciences, sports medicine, public health, or a related field. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are required. Fluent English is required, and French, German, or Luxembourgish are considered an advantage. The role also calls for curiosity, autonomy, and a collaborative mindset.

Position details: full-time PhD contract for 48 months, based in Luxembourg, with a start date in October 2026.
