PhD position available at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona) in the Neurolipid Group.

The project is a predoctoral research opportunity in Biochemistry, Metabolism, Cell Biology, and Neurobiology, with a strong translational angle toward glioblastoma and neuronal biology. The research will investigate the functional and mechanistic role of CPT1C in neuronal and glioblastoma models, focusing on metabolic regulation, the Warburg phenotype, and protein interaction networks.

Planned methods and experimental approaches include cell biology, molecular biology, metabolic assays, microscopy, protein interaction studies, CPT1C knockout/rescue strategies, and work with glioblastoma cell models as well as neuronal or brain-derived samples. This makes the position especially relevant for candidates interested in cancer cell biology, metabolic adaptation, neurobiology, and molecular mechanisms of protein-protein interactions.
