The PhD researcher will develop new image analysis methodologies for less invasive and non-invasive quantitative brain PET studies using LAFOV PET/CT. Research topics include model-independent kinetic analysis, connectivity analysis for dynamic brain PET data, and artificial intelligence approaches to improve brain PET quantification. The work is aimed at translating methodological advances into clinical research applications.

Training is interdisciplinary and includes research in both academic and industrial settings, collaboration with leading international experts, and research visits at partner institutes across Europe. The position is funded by the European Union through Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.

Keywords: medical imaging, brain PET/CT, quantitative imaging, image analysis, artificial intelligence, neuroscience, biomedical engineering.

Deadline: 27 August 2026.
