Funding is provided by the University of Bergen. Salary starts at NOK 600,000, with higher scales for eligible medical/GP/dentist/specialist applicants.

What's required

Applicants must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in molecular genetics, medicine, genetic epidemiology, statistical genetics, medical data science, or bioinformatics. They must provide a motivation/research-interest statement, demonstrate strong interest in analyzing large datasets, strong motivation, ability to work independently and in a structured manner, collaboration skills, and the ability and motivation to undertake a PhD project. Fluency in oral and written English is required. Relevant research experience, experience with large omics data, informatics skills, and international collaboration are considered positive. Non-Norwegian qualifications require certified translations and HK-dir recognition unless exempt.
