About this position

University of Augsburg is advertising a PhD position in the Professorship for Intelligent Perception in Technical Systems, led by Prof. Dr. Jörg-Dieter Stückler (Professor for Computer Science). The role is a Research Associate (m/f/d) as PhD Student in the Faculty of Applied Computer Science, starting on October 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. It is a full-time, three-year fixed-term position, paid according to TV-L E13 if the formal requirements are met. The position is also noted as suitable for part-time work.

The degree may still be pending at the time of application, but must be completed by the time of hiring. Experience shown through publications in top venues such as CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, IJCV, RSS, ICRA, IROS, RA-L, NeurIPS, ICML, or ICLR is considered an advantage.
