About this position
Yue Wang at Clemson University is looking for a highly motivated PhD student to join a research group working at the intersection of robotics and generative AI.
The project focuses on next-generation intelligent robotic systems that integrate generative AI and foundation models with robotic perception, reasoning, planning, learning, and control. Research directions mentioned include Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models, multimodal foundation models for robotics, generative models for robot learning and planning, embodied AI, autonomous robotic systems, human-robot interaction, and robot perception/reasoning/control.
Applicants with backgrounds in robotics, mechanical engineering, electrical and computer engineering, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Prior research experience in robotics and/or machine learning is highly desirable.
